beware of the glass walls!
the first tango class was good. we learnt pretty much the same stuff as we did during the open day taster session but we practiced more. people who go there seem nice and the dancing earned me 3 bonus points.
afterwards, mark and i went to the trafford centre to hunt for jeans. i blogged earlier that i had to take my 30/32 jeans back because of weird stitching and 'itchiness'.
i wanted jeans that would be nice and soft, really comfy, a nice colour and wouldn't make me look fat. we looked everywhere. i tried on a few pairs but they either didn't fit well or they felt weird or were too expensive.
and then, we went to gap. i tried on size 12 and size 14. the size 12 was way too tight. size 14 fitted great. the only problem was they were not regular length but long. but mark convinced me the length was good so i got them. they are lovely. but, they're a size 14 :( it feels like a step backwards. but, they fit me well and i'm losing weight anyway, so i'll hopefully wear size 12 in no time. in december, i definitely will. maybe even before then.
and the great thing about them is that they cost only £29.99 (or 29.95, can't remember)!
now, the glass walls. the institute where i go for my spanish lessons has classrooms with glass walls and glass doors and glass everything. today, i walked into one of them (a glass wall, not a classroom). like, i completely smashed into one. it was so so painful and embarrassing and my nose is now swollen and is going slightly blue. see what colour it is tomorrow. hopefully, it will stop hurting soon. i feel like a complete twat, this has never happened to me before and hopefully won't happen ever again!
foodwise, i had a good day. i had lots of good stuff, and some naughty stuff too (weightwatchers cakes). which is good because it makes me feel like i don't deny myself anything, you know? if i want a chow mein, i'll have a chow mein. if i want chocolate, i'll have chocolate. i'll just work it into my points, make some very good choices around the naughty treat and eat my cake and have it!
tomorrow, i'm going to the gym. 7.30 pm. sharp.
