goal reassessment
maybe you've noticed that i've changed the main goal. well, the goal itself isn't changed, just the time frame. it used to be 'to be 55 kg and fit by christmas 2006'. now, it's 'to be 55 kg and fit by easter 2007'. i've changed it because there's simply no way i'm going to get to the goal by christmas. don't get me wrong, i'm definitely going to give it my best shot and try to get as close to the goal as i can but i think that to expect a weight loss of 9.3 kilos in two months is unrealistic. i would definitely like to be under 60 kilos by christmas though and i think that's doable. so i added 'little goals' to the sidebar and i'm going to cross them off as i reach them. the first one - get back to the gym - is already crossed off :)
i've been craving chinese - mixed vegetable chow mein - for a few days now. i considered having it yesterday - i could have saved the points - but decided against it. it's a takeaway and it's full of salt and while it's ok to have it once a week, it's not a good idea to have it every other day. that way, i can look forward to my weigh in days because that's when i allow myself to indulge.
i received my uni materials this morning. so exciting! i'm going to have only three subjects before christmas - elements of palaeontology, introduction to geology and introduction to geochemistry - and after that i'll start another two - foundations of mineralogy and earth history. i'm very keen on palaentology, geochemistry and mineralogy.
all the texts are on cd's so we're going to get a laser printer and then i can start studying tomorrow! :) how exciting!
