gianduja, scale and starbucks

sabotage came by fedex yesterday. over half a kilo (550g to be precise) of gianduja, the nicest italian chocolate ever. ok, so it did not just appear out of nowhere, i ordered it a few days ago from the olympic store together with two ice hockey key rings - one for me one for my dad. i didn't open it straight away, i waited for mark to come home. and then i had three pieces. which is not bad. well, gianduja is precious chocolate, you can't eat shitloads of it (although me and my dad used to). and, i still have the yorkie bar i bought on saturday and i've not even opened it yet.

we went to the trafford centre and bought me a case for my phone since the one that came with the phone had leather on it and i'm getting rid of all things leather. we also took the 'new scales' back cause they were just giving us ridiculous numbers (as in random, not as in high) and we bought a new scale from john lewis, a mechanical one this time. which means i won't be able to say 68.4 kg anymore, i'll have to work on whole kilos. but that's fine as long as it's accurate.
then we bought a new battery for my pedometer, cause i'm so going to walk for hours in the gym when my non leather trainers come.
and we went to starbucks. i invited mark cause i thought it would be nice. we had the lovely cake - chocolate caramel shortbread i think - and i had hot chocolate and he had some lime water. it was nice :)

new haircut!

i weighed myself this morning and it was good news! i'm not gonna blog it because it's not an official weigh in day today but i should say that last thursday (which was the official weigh in day) i weighed 68.9 kg. obviously, it was less today. but i'm not gonna say how much less.

i decided last night that i needed to have something done with my hair cause i had a mulet and it just looked horrid in general. i thought maybe it would be nice to have it cut like i had it about three years ago, but my hair isn't long enough for that yet. so i printed out (ok so mark printed out) a picture from that era and took it to andrew collinge to ask what they could do. they could cut it straight away which was nice and it is similar, just not as long at the front and not as layered. and obviously, still a horrible colour. but it will grow out. anyway, i'm very pleased with the result, it looks million times better.

we went for a chinese meal tonight - mark's parents, gemma and me. mark had a gig so he couldn't come. i'm very proud of myself because i didn't have a five course meal as everyone else. i only had tiny bit of gemma's seaweed, mixed vegetable chow main - and, i only ate about half of that - i resisted ice cream when everyone else had it, i had two slices of orange instead. i think i've done really well. i've been bloated for a few days now so i think i'll take the aloe vera pill tonight and see if it helps.

overall, a good day.

gugu

ok ok i know i've not blogged for a loooong time. mainly because i wasn't doing very well, i stopped going to the gym and i didn't eat that well. i've put on a bit of weight. didn't put it all back on though so it's not all that bad!

the good news is that:
i bought an ipod today! and and i bought an armband to go with it so i can wear it to the gym! how good? very! it's tiny, black and i call him gugu :) gugu that's right. i've downloaded some audiobooks but each is divided into four mp3 files so i'll have to ask mark to put them together. not sure if the audiobooks will work in the gym, if not at least i've tried. i need to discover some new music. i have over 500 songs on my computer, yet i fast forward most of them cause i'm getting sick of hearing the same shit over and over again. i'm not quite sure how to do it cause... i don't listen to the radio and i don't watch tv. so it's difficult. but placebo are releasing a new album on the 13th of march which is just gay as i'm leaving uk on the 11th and coming back on 28th!!! badly timed holiday!

apart from that, i devised a new reward system. for each day when i eat healthy i'll get £0.50. for each gym visit i'll get £0.50. which means that i can pick a treat and save up for it. i've already picked one - earth vegan trainers - and it will only take me four months to save up for it if i eat healthy and exercise every day. i hope it will work.
