dirty little secret

sorry i've not posted for a while, i didn't realise i'd been away for so long! it's been so hot and my brain just stopped working. it's still hot now so if what i write doesn't make sense...

at the moment i'm obsessed with the all american rejects' song dirty little secret so i thought i'd steal the title for my post ;) i have to reveal something anyway (i do realise it won't be a secret afterwards). btw, if you want to buy me the album don't because i don't like any other songs by them (yes i mean you mark).

*let me know that i've done wrong when i've known it all along* - this is quite appropriate. the big deal is this:
i'm finding it hard at the moment. i'm not coping well with not being able to exercise. i'm eating a lot. i'm eating shit. there. the secret's out.
i don't know what it is that's wrong. one would think that it would be easier to eat well than eat well and exercise. after all, it's just one task. but no, it seems like i need to exercise to stay on track. there's a slight problem - i can't. for another 3.5 weeks. and after that i'll still have to take it easy.

i think it's time to make a plan. a plan that would stop me from putting on all the weight that i've lost. here is what i've come up with so far:

1/track everything. it's funny, but when i eat shit, i stop tracking. it is as if by not writing it down i didn't really eat it? anyway, i've bought a new notebook - molesking van gogh in purple - so i have no excuse really.

2/have at least 3 hours between each meal. snacks included.

3/stop eating 3 hours before bed, for example have my last meal at seven if i plan to go to bed at ten.

4/choose good food - fruit, vegetables, soups, wholemeal bread, pasta (try not to have bread and pasta for tea).

5/have 2 treats per week. 3 jaffa cakes/3 biscuits/small chocolate bar/2 rows of chocolate/small packet of crisps/ice cream - these all count for one treat.

6/one meal is one thing (apart from soup + main meal). don't eat spagetti + yogurt + fruit in one meal.

well that's all i can think of at the moment. if you have suggestions, let me know :) these rules will be implemented from tomorrow (wednesday = weigh in day = start of a new week). i know i've started fresh on wednesdays before but i'm hoping this time it will work. wish me luck!

oh, and don't be surprised if the weigh in tomorrow shows i've put on weight. i know i won't be!
